K Sea Kayakers is a group of paddlers based in the Kansas City, Missouri area specifically geared towards sea kayaking on lakes and rivers in the Midwest. Our group organizes local paddling opportunities as well as longer monthly overnight trips to paddle locations within about a five hour radius of our home base in Kansas City. Explore Missouri, Kansas, Iowa, Oklahoma and Arkansas with your friends at K Sea Kayakers. New and experienced paddlers of all types are welcome to join.

Wondering where we have been paddling? In the past year or so we have been on: Blue Springs Lake, Council Grove Lake, Hillsdale Lake, Lake Jacomo, Longview Lake, Melvern Lake, Pomme de Terre Lake, Prairie Lee Lake, Smithville Lake, Stockton Lake, Tuttle Creek Lake, Wilson Lake, the Kansas River and the Missouri River.

Join us at the main launch ramp at Lake Jacomo on Tuesday evenings during the spring and summer months for kayaking fun and relaxation. See below to joinus or for additional information.

The Tuesday Night Paddle
We paddle out of the north marina at lake Jacomo; the location is marked on the map above. A Jackson County lake permit is required and is available at the Longview Lake Marina or during business hours at the nearby park office.

April 17 - April 19 Pomona Lake
Zoe will be hosting us for some camping and kayaking fun in early April. Bring a bike as there might be some biking too.
April 24 - April 26 Pomme de Terre Lake
We are going to check out the west arm of the lake in greater detail, join Garrett for all the early spring fun.
May 1 - May 3 Truman Lake State Park
Sandy has hooked us up with a great spot at Missouri's largest lake when at full capacity; we need to fill it up.
May 15 - May 17 Tuttle Creek Lake
Larry has found a great place to host at Tuttle Creek Cove; come out and check it out. Oh, there is a lake there to boot.
June 12 - June 14 Lake of the Ozarks State Park
Don't be scared off by the location; Angela has it all worked out for us. Feel free to bring dad even if we are a week early.
June 25 - June 28 Wilson Lake
It might be another warm one out in west central Kansas but Larry is sure to arrange for some cool breezes; come check out this crazy lake.
July 2 - July 5 Stockton Lake
Sandy has a plan to keep the crabs at bay for the weekend at Crabtree Cove. Is there a better place to spend a national holiday.
July 17 - July 19 Beaver Lake
Has it been that long since we crossed the southern border? Never fear, Andy will lead our envasion of crystal clear waters down yonder.

Skills Weekend at Council Grove Lake
We all need to work on staying upright and there is no one better to make sure we have our act together than Larry; come learn something new.

Mel who? Nope that is Melvern and Andy has that lake down. Time to start acting like turkeys and take over the point and all the waters around it.

Pomme de Terre Lake
We will be returning to the world renown Nemo Landing campground for the 11th gathering at Pomme de Terre Lake. Use our contact eMail below or reach out to Garrett to get trip specific information.

Hillsdale Lake State Park
Over hill, over dale, we will hit the BBQ trail. Cindy knows the way to the bank and a great campground; there is not a better way to wind down the season.

Stockton Lake Off Site
Don't get spooked, Greg and Laural have a plan and lots of land within a stones throw of one great lake.

K Sea Kayakers is a loose association of individuals whom share a similar interest in kayaking and/or other paddle sports and activities. Participation in all meet up events is purely voluntary; participants assume all risk associated with their participation in paddle sport activities.
